These Vehicle Hire Terms apply in addition to our general Terms and Conditions to all vehicle hire bookings, whether self-drive or with a chauffeur.
Vehicles are provided in roadworthy condition with current registration, insurance, and inspection documentation. You should inspect the vehicle at handover and report any pre-existing damage immediately so it can be recorded; undocumented damage found at handover may otherwise be attributed to your hire period.
The vehicle may only be driven by the person(s) named on the booking (self-drive) or by the assigned chauffeur. It must not be used: to tow another vehicle; to transport more passengers or cargo than its rated capacity; off paved roads unless the vehicle is specifically rated for such use; or outside the geographic area agreed at booking, without prior written approval.
Unless stated otherwise, self-drive vehicles are provided with a stated fuel level and must be returned with the same level, or a refuelling charge applies. Chauffeur-driven bookings include fuel as part of the quoted price unless otherwise stated.
Where a booking includes a mileage allowance, distance beyond that allowance is billed at the per-kilometre rate shown at booking. This applies to both individual bookings and standing corporate contracts with a monthly mileage allowance.
You are responsible for damage to or loss of the vehicle arising from your use during the hire period, subject to the insurance terms disclosed at booking, and for any traffic fines, tolls, or impoundment fees incurred during the hire period.
To extend a hire period, contact us before the scheduled return time; extensions are subject to vehicle availability and are billed at the applicable daily/weekly rate.
The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location by the agreed time, in the condition it was provided (normal wear excepted). Late returns may incur an additional charge and, in the case of chauffeur-driven hire, may affect the driver's next assignment.
